This is a translation: in case of discrepancy, the Italian version prevails.

What data we process and why
| Data | Purpose | Legal basis | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| Browsing: IP address, browser, requested page (server logs) | Running and securing the site | Legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f GDPR) | According to the hosting provider's technical retention |
| Anonymised IP fingerprint (non-reversible hash) | Limiting abuse and automated submissions (AI search, submissions, favourites) | Legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f) | 24 hours; 30 days for submissions |
| Public contact emails of organisers, taken from their pages and already shown on event listings | A single informational email about the service and how to submit events or suggest sources. No other promotional use | Legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f) | They stay on the public event listing; you can ask for removal at any time |
| Email of whoever submits an event or a correction, and the site language used (Italian or English) | Confirming the submission is yours, writing to you in your language, sending you the link to edit the event, telling you about corrections proposed by other visitors. It is never published or used for newsletters or advertising | Performance of the requested service (art. 6.1.b) | Up to 24 months after the last submission; unconfirmed submissions are deleted after 48 hours |
| Public contact email of organisers, taken from the public page of an event we have published | Writing once to tell the organiser the event is online and to invite them to check and update it. At most one notice every 14 days, with a one-click opt-out link in every message. Not used for newsletters or advertising | Legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f): informing the person responsible for a public event; you can object at any time | Until the event ends; if you opt out, only the address is kept so we do not write again |
| Submission content: texts, posters, photos, PDFs | Writing and publishing the event listing; automatic content moderation | Performance of the requested service (art. 6.1.b) | As long as the event is in the archive |
| Visit statistics (Matomo, cookieless): pages viewed, referrer, device and browser type, anonymised IP (last two bytes removed) | Understanding which pages and features are useful and improving the site; aggregated measurement, without identifying or recognising visitors | Legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f) | Detailed data for at most 13 months, then aggregated only |
| Newsletter email, chosen area and categories, language | Sending the weekend events once a week, midweek (double opt-in: only after you confirm via the link we email you) | Consent (art. 6.1.a), revocable at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email | Until you unsubscribe; unconfirmed subscriptions are not used and the link expires after 48 hours |
| Push service address of your browser (only if you turn on notifications) | Sending you at most one alert a day | Consent (art. 6.1.a), revocable from the bell or the browser | Until you turn them off |
We do not publish personal data of private individuals: listings only show the organisers' public contacts.
Data that stays on your device
Light/dark theme, favourite events and notification preferences are stored in your browser's local storage (localStorage) and are not sent to us. The exceptions are the public favourites count, for which the browser sends a random code that we keep only as a fingerprint (hash) to count one vote per event, and reminders and followed topics, for which the browser asks us which of your favourites start soon and which new events match your topics without the lists being stored. Details in the cookie policy.
